I worked on the top skin and instrument panel today.
I had to take the firewall off to get top skin on. While the firewall was off, I marked the centerline on the top bend and the center of the firewall; I did the same to the instrument panel.
I drilled the center hole for both firewall and instrument panel on the bench and then reinstalled and clecoed the top skin to this center hole. I started match drilling the firewall first and did my best to keep the centerline in the holes. The left side of the firewall I had to push back a little to line up the centerline, but the right side needed to be pushed forward; I grabbed Tom to help with this.
Drilling the instrument panel was a bit more tricky to keep the centerline lined up, but I got it.
