Forward Fuselage - L-angles

25-26NOV2023

This weekend I worked on the L-angles for the seat channel and the L-angles on the front side skins.

The L-angles on the seat channel were quite tricky; it's a very tight space and my angle drill barely fit.  I also left the seat bases clecoed in so that it would hold the seat channel in the correct location and prevent it from twisting on me again, but this made it a little hard to see what I was drilling.

The L-angles on the front side skins were a bit time consuming to get the curve right.  I checked the curve after each crimp and slowly adjusted as needed.  These were also hard to match drill as there isn't a way to clamp them.  I only messed up two pieces on the first & second attempt of the bottom right side.  The bottom angle isn't just curved, it has a slight twist to it and I had a little trouble keeping the centerline matched up with the back few holes.  I ended up marking the front hole and drilling on the table.  Then I clecoed that in and then lined the center line up as best as I could and held the back tight while I used the drill to mark the hole location.  I removed the angle to drill the back hole on the table and then once the front and back were clecoed in, the remaining holes were no issue to drill.
