Forward Fuselage - rear seat angle issue

07-08OCT2023

I was trying to get the rear seat angles and the seat bases clecoed in, but the holes are not lining up.  I tried flipping the rear angle around, swapping left/right sides, etc., but to no avail.

If I only have a couple of holes clecoed on the bottom of the rear angle, I'm able to push the top of the angle to line up with the seat base.  The angle is a thicker piece and I had to really push on it to get things to line up which doesn't seem right.  However, doing this caused the seat base to bow and the bottom of the angle to start lifting off the floor.  If I cleco every hole on the bottom of the angle, then I can't move the top part of the angle at all.

The holes are off enough that there really isn't anything I can do to the supplied piece to make it work.  It seems like if the holes weren't so close to the bends, then things would line up better.

So, I ordered some sheet aluminum and I'm going to make my own rear angle with longer flanges.  My thought is that the longer flanges will give me more clearance for match drilling the holes to the seat base and floor.
